I want to introduce you to Jenet Simmons. She is my BFF. Since hundreds of miles separate us, we cherish our “face to face time” and enjoy taking cutesy photos like this whenever we get the chance~
Unfortunately our faces were not as radiant on May 2nd, 2011. When Jenet called to tell me what had happened to her husband I became numb, angry, and fearful. All I could do for her was to pray, pray, and pray some more.
We all know or will know someone in crisis. If you think praying for them is not that big of a deal- think again. Maybe the dinner you dropped off or hug you offered seems insignificant in light of all that is going on- think again. Listen to what my BFF says below.
God uses the smallest gesture of love to significantly impact a hurting heart.

Everything we do can make a difference and your story proves that over and over again. The things we do may not be big in our eyes or the world’s eyes, but when He calls us to do them, they are big in His eyes and probably the people we are serving, too. Thank you for your testimony.

Thank you for the encouraging comments. Being able to share this story for myself and my husband has been an answer to prayer. The community of believers around us has been so powerful.
