I had difficulty praying yesterday.
My mind was all over the place. I wasn’t angry. I wasn’t tired. I just felt blah…
Some days are like that, aren’t they?
While Katie was napping, I turned on my ipod. I listened to songs about God’s faithfulness, love, and power.
The craziness in my mind started to cease. My soul began to stir.
While I didn’t do a lot of praying yesterday, I did do a lot of singing. Sometimes with a smile, and sometimes through tears.
Oh how I pray that God was blessed!
So my friend, perhaps you have a lot to say to God today. Maybe you don’t. Maybe you are blah too. Either way, I encourage you to listen to the following song…
Blessing His Holy name today,
“Praise the LORD, my soul;
all my inmost being; praise His holy name.”
~Psalm 103:1, NIV

This song truly blesses my soul! I believe that going into the presence of our LORD with song and praises through music brings a “Smile” to His face even as going to HIM in Prayer does! Praying for HIS total PEACE to Flood your whole being! Once Again, He is ministering through you here in this place!

I began sinking last week. The old familiar ‘sin sickness symptoms’ were making threatening advances toward me by trying to gain re-entrance into this life. I continue to revel, glory in how He brought up to me that I am ‘dead’ to my old ways. Do the ‘new’ Joanne, He says to me just do/be IN the ‘new’. And so I did…..Grace.’Oh my soul is blessed’ Thank you for your words and song today…
Tracy says
Joanne-thank you for singing with me today. I love your comment and your honesty! I know those “sin sickness symptoms”. I can relate to Paul in Romans ch. 7 when he says he does the things he doesn’t want to do while knowing what he should do…grrr. BUT you are right-we are NEW in Christ. The Holy Spirit can help us to do/be our new selves. Have a blessed day being the NEW you Joanne. Our God is good:)
Tracy says
Yep they are just…blah. Thanks for joining me in singing today Dawn. Have a blessed day my friend 🙂
Tracy says
Amy- so blessed to know you were singing with me out there in Maine. I am begging Chad to let me come and visit…sigh. Praising God with you, 10,000 reasons at a time! Have a blessed day Amy:)
Anna Kinney says
Thank you! That is one of my favorite songs. It’s been a really emotional week and haven’t thought to listen to my music even once. Normally when things get rough my husband watches the kids so I can go for a drive and listen to KLOVE really loud. It always makes me feel better. The baby and i are listening to our favorite songs now and I’m already feeling better.
Tracy says
Anna-thank you for listening with me! I appreciate you leaving a comment-I will be praying that you sense God’s peace and comfort right now. I love that you are listening to the songs with your baby. I expose my kids to various worship songs and the other day my 3 year old just starts singing something we hear on KLOVE all by himself. I was so blessed…I guess those lyrics do take root in the soil of their hearts. God bless you Anna 🙂
