Friends, I’ve noticed a lot of frustration, anger, and discouragement on social media lately. Something needs to change. I believe that something has to do with: focus.
We choose not to forgive a friend or neighbor.
But God forgives.
We become frustrated with ourselves and with our own hang ups.
But God is compassionate and gracious.
We loathe our own reflection in the mirror.
But God approves and infinitely loves.
But God.
But God.
But God.
Put your focus back on God. Cease hanging out with un-forgiveness, frustration, or discontentment. God is not in these emotions. BE where He is– treating yourself and those around you accordingly.
Focus matters.
But God…
“The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
~ Psalm 103:8-12 NIV

This made me tear up because you spoke directly to my spirit. I’ve been self-loathing for months; HATING every roll on my body…knowing all the while that I have been displeasing God with my attitude…knowing all along that God’s love and compassion for me are so much deeper.
Thank you!!

Kela- I appreciate your honesty and can relate my friend. Praying that you sense God’s love and compassion towards you in a deeper way today. Dry those eyes and remember who and WHOSE you are 🙂
