I am curious… if you are married, did you pray for your future husband? If you answered “yes,” how did you specifically pray for him? How did God answer your prayers?
For those who desire to be married, are you praying for your future husband? If so, how?
(Gentlemen, feel free to chime in. Did you pray for your wife? Are you praying for your future wife? Dads of daughters- be sure to check out the resource I mention below. It’s a gem!)
I am sharing my own answers to these questions over at The Whatever Girls blog today. I am also recommending an awesome resource that will encourage young women as they wait for marriage. If you are a young woman, a mom, or mentor of one, you need to have Praying for Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer in your library!
Here is an excerpt from my post:
I told my mother that I was going to marry Mighty Mouse when I was 3 years old. For those born after 1990, Mighty Mouse is a cartoon character known for flying around and saving beautiful girl mice from the evil felines of the world. He was brave and strong. What’s not to love when you are 3?
As I matured and became in touch with reality, the vision of my future husband changed from being a cartoon character, into a Brad Pitt look alike. My future husband was going to have it all: a hot body, athleticism, off the charts intelligence, an outgoing and funny personality, and was going to LOVE cooking and cleaning so that I wouldn’t have to lift a finger.
Yes, this was going to be my future husband…

It’s funny how what we want, or think we want, changes and develops over time. Thank God for so much grace! We’re blessed women. ~Love you girl, Amy
