Mimicking our Father: My prayer for you

 

Happy Monday friends! Let’s seize the week before us, shall we?

 

Last week I mentioned that Jack wants to be a pilot just like his daddy. He loves to  work out on the “gym cheens” like daddy, and wants to marry me one day because “I am his mommy, I am pretty, and because daddy married me.” Love it! We recently found a flight suit for him, so he could get dressed for “work” too. Look at his smile…

 

 

I pray that my children will continue to want to emulate their earthly daddy. I pray that they will choose to have a relationship with their Heavenly Father too. I want them to enjoy and worship the God who died for them. I want their expressions and passions to mimic His. Likewise, my prayer for you this week is that you’ll grow closer to your Heavenly Father too. That you will enjoy Him and take time to simply stop and worship Him.

I pray that you’ll mimic the way that God:

• loves,
• comforts,
• encourages,
• protects,
• forgives,
• despises sin/has no part in it,
• and shows mercy.

 

Somedays we need to know that someone is praying for us, don’t we?

Father God, I lift my friend before you. Father, reveal yourself to them this week. If they are waiting for an answer or for direction, Holy Spirit, have mercy and reveal Your will to them. Father change their passions and heart expressions to match Yours. Help us to enjoy You God, for ALL that You are. We praise You for all that You have done in our lives and for all that You have yet to do. Holy Spirit, help us to love, comfort, encourage, protect, forgive, flee sin, and to show mercy where it is needed. Draw us closer to You. You are so worthy to be mimicked. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
