I love living with my military man. This past January, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary (woot woot). Before I was married, I could recite the “love” chapter, or 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, from memory. I agreed with the aspects of Biblical love intellectually. I promised myself that I would love my husband perfectly each and every day.
Well… I’ve broken that promise. I haven’t loved Chad perfectly.
But…
God is using my marriage to grow my working knowledge of love into a living knowledge of love, one degree at a time. He is replacing my ideas of love, with the reality of how He wants me to love Chad.
And it is a beautiful thing.
One imperfect woman committing to love one imperfect man, via the perfect love of God.
Though I fail, God never will.
I am honored to share more about this over at my friend Renee Fisher’s blog. She is the author of Faithbook of Jesus, and Not Another Dating Book, and has 2 more books on the way! Come join us as we discuss living together in the military…
